Studies have shown that short term educational and exercise based interventions based on evidence based health knowledge significantly improved women’s physical performance, self-efficacy, wellbeing and menopausal symptoms in both perimenopausal and post menopausal women.

What is the Midi Moves program?

Midi Moves is a 30 day program designed for anyone during mid-life and menopause who is ready to improve their health, movement and activity for life.

Designed to address 3 important aspects of menopause and exercise identified by females within She Community - the three top reasons they have not been able to start an activity, movement or exercise program:

  1. “I don’t know how exercise will help me”

  2. “I don’t know where to start”

  3. “Im too fatigued/tired”

These aspects were identified as the three most common reasons that females indicated in a She Community wide survey conducted at the end of 2024.

Based on this the Midi Moves program has been developed to help you increase your:

  • Knowledge of exercise - you will learn how it will help your menopause symptoms, mid-life health and be able to assist in preventing future chronic conditions

  • Self-efficacy and independence with movement and exercise - you will be able to independently start and progress your daily movement quantity and quality

  • Energy levels and sleep quality - you will learn how to increase energy by improving sleep and managing daily activities and tasks well

30 days of:

  • Knowledge and education - 2 days per week to focus on the “why” for exercise and menopause

  • Exercise and movement ideas, meeting you where you are at now - 2 days per week to focus on the “how” for starting, progressing and being consistent

  • Energy and fatigue management tips - 2 days of education on how to manage daily tasks and responsibilities around your energy needs and how to improve sleep

  • Daily information on the above via email

  • 1 x weekly 20 minute group on-line catch up with me, Kathy, to answer any questions, provide any advice and tips - this will be on-line on a Saturday morning - designed to reflect on the week gone and plan for the week ahead - these will be recorded if you are unable to make it

FAQ’s

  • Will this be a “get shredded in the gym”, “shed cm’s from your waist”, “get your beach bod” etc type of program? No - absolutely not

  • Is this a 30 day “challenge”? - No

  • Is this a diet based program? - No

  • Will this be a program that focuses on increasing education, knowledge and helping me feel comfortable with exercise and activity? - Yes

  • Do I need to stick to a pre-defined program? No

  • Will I need any special equipment? - No

  • Do I need to do any specific exercise or am I free to choose what activity, movement, exercise I enjoy? - You are able to choose whatever exercise or activity you like to start and progress with. The main thing is you LOVE it. You wont continue if you don’t.

  • Do I need to attend the weekly on-line catch ups? - No, they will be recorded

  • Can I email with questions? - Yes, participants can send 1 email per week to myself and I will happily answer any questions you have

  • Will this teach me skills to be able to manage my exercise myself? - Yes

  • Will this help me with knowledge about my own individual menopause symptoms and how exercise might help now and in the future? - Yes

  • Will this solve all my menopause and health problems in 30 days? - No, but it’s not designed to. It is designed to help you get started, without pressure and start to make some simple and easy changes without overloading you so you are able to develop some routines, habits and consistency.

  • What can I do after the 30 days? You can book a phone or on-line chat with me and we can discuss where you are at, where you would like to get to and how I can help you do that with my other on-line and face to face services.

  • Does this cost anything? No, it’s FREE
