Hi, I’m Kathy Balson
My vision for She Community came from my own experience around Perimenopause. I was not prepared or educated, I did not even understand what was happening to my body for a while! I felt like my body and my brain weren’t my own and I was not functioning like I had been my whole life. My confidence and self-esteem suffered.
I began to educate myself and realised that this period of our lives does not need to mean “suffering through”. Does not need to mean we “lose ourselves”. This period of our lives can actually be empowering, reflective and a time where we re-evaluate things, take a self and health check, and often for the better.
The two most important things I found that helped through this period of my life are 1) Education - I found knowledge is power and the more I knew about perimenopause and menopause, the more I could be in control. 2) Exercise - exercise has the power to improve so many aspects of our life. I will help you through our Community. 3) Connection. A group of pals going through the same, in the same stage of life, can make all the difference.
Now here is She Community. My vision to share with you that will offer the same. Education + Connection.

My Approach
Im an Exercise Physiologist (EP). As well as having completed a Master in Clinical Exercise Rehabilitation, I have also completed extra training in Women’s Health and have completed a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Health Medicine at UNSW.
Everything we EP’s do as a profession is evidence based. My approach is evidence based. With everything I will give you. Through your experience with any one of my programs - She Community or She Healthcare - you can be guaranteed that you are being provided with the best and up to date evidence based information to help you along which ever path you are taking.
I have an exercise and activity focus and will integrate this into the Community and additional custom exercise and education programs.
