OUR ONE ON ONE SESSIONS - LOWER BLUE MOUNTAINS NSW

Our face to face exercise physiology program for women’s health runs all year round from our beautiful clinic space in Glenbrook, Lower Blue Mountains, NSW.

Our one on one sessions can be used for up to 2 participants. We offer our Move Through Menopause small group sessions if you want a community class based option.

You can book your sessions at any time we have available, currently on Thursdays from midday to 9pm. During your program, you will have a comprehensive Initial Assessment during your first session. You will then have the option of continuing for a minimum of 4 weeks either one on one sessions or moving into our Move Through Midlife small group session on a minimum of a 4 session option. During the Initial Assessment, a medical history will be taken, goals set, education provided and an exercise plan completed with you so you are able to start your exercise immediately.

You will continue with weekly sessions for the remainder of the 4 week period, focusing on your individual needs, challenges, barriers and goals. You will have the option to continue after a brief re-assessment, making sure you are working towards your own individual goals. You can continue 4 weeks at a time or on one of our longer term program options.

FAQ’s about our one on one program

Why are the programs a minimum of 4 weeks? - As an Exercise Physiologist I know a lot about motivation, commitment and accountability, and I have seen over the years the most successful people in terms of lifestyle change are the ones that give it a good old go. Any less than 12 weeks embarking on an exercise prescribed treatment for Menopause, will not have you seeing any results or changes. You will start to see some after a few weeks but to really allow your body to adapt to your exercise treatment, you need to give it some time. At She Healthcare we understand commitment is hard but if you dont commit to some degree, you will not reach your health goals. A 4 week commitment will give you a start.

Can I just pay for one session and see if I like it? - Your Initial Assessment is your first appointment. From there you can choose to either continue one on one or join one of our Move Through Midlife small group sessions. Both options require a 4 week investment at minimum.

What if I am sick and need to cancel my appointment? - We have a 4 hour cancellation policy here at She Community. If you chose to cancel your session within 4 hours, you will be fully charged for the session. If you cancel outside 4 hours, you are able to re-schedule your session any time within a 5 week period from the date you purchased your 4 sessions - this means you have 5 weeks to use your 4 sessions. This includes both small group sessions and one on one sessions.

Can I claim any rebates for the sessions? - If you have a private health fund, the majority of them will have coverage for Exercise Physiology. I can provide you with a medicare/private health fund receipt and you can claim your sessions at the appropriate rebate your health fund provides. You can also claim a rebate if you have a Medicare Chronic Disease Management plan - you wont likely be able to obtain one for Menopause, but if you have a chronic disease associated with hormone change or any other women’s health issue, you will be able to obtain one on approval by your GP. If you are covered under the NDIS scheme I can also accept participant’s that are self or plan managed - your treatment would need to be applicable to your primary disability.

How and where will the sessions run? - Most sessions will be at our Glenbrook clinic, which is a lovely space to exercise. If you have reasons you are unable to exercise at the clinic, we can arrange home visits, however these may cost slightly more depending where you live. If you need home based visits, please note this in your enquiry form.
