OUR FACE TO FACE PROGRAM - LOWER BLUE MOUNTAINS NSW

Our face to face exercise physiology program for women’s health runs in 12 week blocks. Our next program will start on Monday February 3rd 2025 and run until week ending Sunday 27th April 2024.

We run face to face sessions in the Lower Blue Mountains - we can see you in your own home or a gym based environment and have clinic access. We can complete a program of fully face to face sessions or some on-line sessions if you need flexibility.

You can book your sessions at any time we have available and these are usually in the evenings or on weekend. During your 12 week program, you will have a comprehensive initial assessment during your first session. A medical history will be taken, goals set, education provided and an exercise plan completed with you so you are able to start your exercise immediately. You will continue with weekly sessions for the remainder of the 12 week period, focusing on your individual needs, challenges, barriers and goals.

My main area of speciality is Menopause but I can also take on clients with other women’s health conditions such as PCOS, Endometriosis, Pelvic Floor/Pelvic health issues, Incontinence etc. I also have many years of experience working with females with a disability so am able to assist in this area also.

FAQ’s about our face to face program

Why are the programs 12 weeks? - As an Exercise Physiologist I know a lot about motivation, commitment and accountability, and I have seen over the years the most successful people in terms of lifestyle change are the ones that give it a good old go. Any less than 12 weeks embarking on an exercise prescribed treatment for Menopause, will not have you seeing any results or changes. You will start to see some after a few weeks but to really allow your body to adapt to your exercise treatment, you need to give it a minimum of 12 weeks. You will thank me for it when you dont stop after 2 weeks! This also applies to any other conditions you might be receiving treatment for through the She Healthcare on-line program.

Can I just pay for one session and see if I like it? - Similar to the above, you are not going to see with one session if you like it. In fact, often when you start an exercise prescription program, it isn’t really to like! Your body and mind will gradually over time get to like it as you feel the benefits, improvements and changes in your body that result from a longer term effort. I am always happy to have a free chat with anyone who is wanting to meet me, ask any questions and feel more comfortable with the commitment and process.

What if I am sick and need to cancel my appointment? - We have a 4 hour cancellation policy here at She Community. If you chose to cancel your session within 4 hours, you will be fully charged for the session. You are able to re-schedule up to 3 sessions over the 12 week period if you are unable to attend and this will not cost you anything.

Can I claim any rebates for the sessions? - If you have a private health fund, the majority of them will have coverage for Exercise Physiology. I can provide you with a medicare/private health fund receipt and you can claim your sessions at the appropriate rebate your health fund provides. You can also claim a rebate if you have a Medicare Chronic Disease Management plan - you wont likely be able to obtain one for Menopause, but if you have a chronic disease associated with hormone change or any other women’s health issue, you will be able to obtain one on approval by your GP. If you are covered under the NDIS scheme I can also accept participant’s that are self or plan managed - your treatment would need to be applicable to your primary disability.

How will the sessions run? - I can arrange to see you either in your own home, at a local gym (I have a preferred one I use but could arrange one of your choice if needed), or in clinic. This can change from session to session depending on your needs. I can also do a combined face to face and on-line program if you need flexibility.

Do I need any exercise equipment if I am exercising at home? - Over the course of the program depending on your needs and goals, I will let you know if you need to buy any exercise equipment. If you already have your own we can make your program work with what you have. Don’t buy any to start with as you don’t always need your own equipment.

Do I need a gym membership? - Again, it will depend on your needs and goals. If you have a local gym and want to exercise there, I can usually gain access. I also have a preferred gym I can use for sessions, but you would need a membership to gain access.

What suburbs do you service? - I run face to face sessions in the Lower Blue Mountains. I service from Emu Plains to Faulconbridge-Springwood and out to Winmalee.
